The Teleios Code Jam is upon us! We’re grateful for all the interest and queries about the event. The theme for the 2011 edition of the Teleios Code Jam is “Using information technology to facilitate development in a multi-state region.” Read more on the theme here. Solutions are expected to have regional impact. That is, participants are encouraged to come up with high quality ideas and implementations that not only affect (are relevant to) their country alone, but it will be great, if those applications are built in such a way that they can easily apply to the wider region.
Code Jam this year will comprise 3 stages of competition, guided by the words, “Code. Present. Build.” The areas of activity for participants are as follows:
Code: Participants will be required to submit their projects by 7th October 2011. These projects will be evaluated and entrants who qualify for round 2 will be notified.
Present: Successful participants will present their solution to a panel of judges on Code Jam day.
Build: There will be a segment on the day where a challenge will be given to the competing teams. Teams will be expected to –derive an algorithm that solves the chosen problem in the most efficient manner.
The winning team of Code Jam 2011 will be the team that demonstrates excellence in all three areas.
Also, for this year's event, the Road Shows are on again! We're coming to an institution near you soon, with three Road Shows. They will be "Who is Teleios? What do we do in the market?", "An SDK Session" and "Expectations". You can check out the full itinerary here.
We're finalizing prizes for this year's event and we'll share more info on it in a post soon. So, there we have it, come with your ideas, implementations and excitement, we look forward to seeing you!
